Which Mom Wore it Better?: Maggie Gyllenhaal vs. Jessica Alba
Maggie Gyllenhaal and Jessica Alba have the same taste in clothes. They've both been seen in recent days out and about with their adorable daughters wearing the same denim dress. So who wore the dress better?
Jessica Alba chose to wear the $695 dress to a brunch date in Beverly Hills. She paired her dress with combat boots and bangles. Two-year-old Honor, walked beside her super cute in a sweet white dress and headband.
Maggie Gyllenhaal wore the same dress to pick up three-and-a-half-year-old Ramona from preschool in New York City. Maggie chose to wear the dress as a tunic top and paired it with a knit skirt, sweater, and red sandals. Ramona wore braids and a crochet romper (which is reportedly Stella McCartney for Gap Kids if you want your little one to duplicate Ramona's style).

That dress looks like something I could buy from Old Navy ... $695? Yeah, no. I vote for Maggie as well, because combat boots? Again, no.

I clicked in here, thinking that I would say Jessica, but after seeing the pics, I am firmly in the Maggie camp. And mainly because of Jessica's boots.

Maggie. It's so shapeless, it made a better tunic than "dress." And yeah -- $695?? I'm so glad I'm not wealthy so I don't have find such dreadful things to spend my money on.

Can I say I don't really like either of them? I mean, it seems to look better on Jessica, but that may just be because she isn't wearing an assemblage of other stuff that does nothing to enhance the are-you-kidding-me-$695 dress. Now - had Maggie's skirt been a bit more form fitting, and the dress ironed- I could totally go with that. I mean the purse and shoes and Ramona's braids are perfection.
