John "Bo Duke" Schneider's Christmas Puppies Stolen

General_lee_scale_model

Talk about a grinch.

John Schneider, better known as Bo Duke from the Dukes of Hazzard, had his SUV stolen at a suburban Los Angeles mall last week.  Inside were Christmas presents for his children.  Not so unusual right?  Except the presents were puppies, live, actual puppies.  A ten-week-old Yorkie named Paisley and a ten-week-old Yorkiepoo named Marley.  The SUV has been recovered but the puppies were gone.

Looks like there is no Christmas in Dukeville this year.

John said he has searched the neighborhood for the dogs and he's certain whoever took the SUV is caring for the dogs, or even re-gifting them.  He hasn't given up hope yet though, "I think we're going to get my dogs back."

Growing up I loved the Dukes of Hazzard.  It was like must see TV in my house.  I have full faith in good ole' Bo.  But I don't think he can do it alone.  He really needs to call Luke.  I mean, what is Tom Wopat up to anyway?  And they can jump into the General Lee through the windows and fly off in search of the missing puppies.  On the way the can pick up Daisy and Uncle Jesse.  I smell a Christmas reunion movie in the making.  And not that bad one with Jessica Simpson.  I want the original cast.  Who cares if they are 700 years old?  At the end they can rescue the puppies and capture Boss Hogg, who I'm sure is the one who stole them in the first place.

All together now, Just two good old boys, never meanin' no harm...

I bet my husband will help with the search. He still isn't over the fact The Dukes of Hazzard show was cancelled. It's been over 20 years now, and he still can't get past it.

I've done what I can to ease his pain by assigning the theme from The Dukes of Hazzard to be his ringtone when he calls me and buying him the DVD sets of the show.

And you are right, Jessica Simpson and the rest of the remake movie were ridiculous.

And still there is a part of me thinking, "Who leaves puppies sitting in a car?"

Because I'm like that. Not that it's summer, but still... in a mall parking lot? No way, no day. Especially pure bred puppies worth well over a grand each - didn't he hear about all of the "designer" dogs being stolen and sold on the black market in this economy?

Maybe he'll go to petfinder.com and adopt a nice, year old, potty trained, Yorkie and Yorkie Poo this time. Because, really, wouldn't the best Christmas gift be to give a homeless dog a loving family?

(I'll put away the megaphone now. I get a little ranty about this kind of thing.)

I'm wondering if the reason they were in the car at the mall parking lot is because he bought them at a pet store there? Not that I condone pet stores selling pooches (or cats, or....) in any way, but it's the only thing I can come up with for why they were in his car.

Very sad, nonetheless. Poor kids. Yes, I know they have the dough to buy other pets, but if the kids already knew about THESE pets, I'm sure they're devastated.

If that just don't beat all you ever saw. He's been in trouble with the law since the day he was born.

Yes I agree, he probably just bought the puppies. John is a very caring guy, he would never mistreat animals! And though his kids are teenagers I am sure they are sad about it. I hope they find them! Thieves infuriate me!!!! (by the way.. LOL Tom Wopat is currently performing on stage in the musical "Chicago")
