Man Who Filed A Battery Claim Against Mel Gibson Is Lying

Mel-gibson A man attempted to file charges of battery against Mel Gibson, claiming Mel tore his shirt after he attempted to take a picture of him at Playhouse in Hollywood.  The problem with the charges is that witnesses say the "victim" was asked to walk away at least 3 times before the alleged incident. Security told him no photography was allowed in the club, but he persisted.

The cops have refused to take the case.  They say at best this is a civil case, and even that may not stick.  Witnesses say Mel was wedged in a booth with his pregnant girlfriend and couldn't have grabbed the guy's shirt.

Cops say all witnesses tell the same story -- the guy is making up allegations of battery. No one saw his shirt ripped when he left the club.     A rep for the Playhouse acknowledges "a minor incidence occurred between a persistent photographer and Mr. Gibson's party" and that "no one was injured."

I've made no secret of my hatred for Mel, but making up claims of battery, that's really low.
