Glee Withdrawals? Welcome to the Gleeks Anonymous Group Therapy Open Thread

Glee_cast Show of hands: who's having the howling fantods this week with no new episode of Glee? I know I am. My name is Snarky Amber and I am a Glee addict.

With one Glee-free Wednesday behind us and another to go, you may be feeling depressed, anxious or just plain panicked. It's only natural, and I empathize with your plight, having listened to "Somebody to Love" roughly three times last night to keep the shakes at bay. So I thought today we could have a little support group sesh to talk about what's happened so far, where things might be headed, and what to do on Wednesday at 9 before we start mainlining reruns on Hulu like the cracked out Glee fiends we are.

So far, we've had a lot of internal glee club conflict, with multiple flounces from Rachel and Finn, baby-related drama all over the place, and of course the evil machinations of Sue Sylvester and the Cheerios. While that all has been really entertaining, I'm eager to see the writers break up that internal conflict with some new outside challenges when the kids off with the some other choirs. Thankfully, we are getting close to sectionals, and without getting too spoilery, from what I hear the competition will prove to be a lot stiffer than the kids of William McKinley expect.

As for the adults of the show, I'm so totally ready to put Teri's fake pregnancy plot to bed. Is it just me, or is it increasingly difficult to sympathize with Will when he is clearly too much of a nimrod to have figured this out by now? That said, I probably belong to a minority among Glee fans who do not want to see Emma and Will get together. Don't get me wrong, I am a hardcore Wemma shipper, but if I learned anything from X-Files and Friends, it's that breaking that kind of sexual tension spells instant doom for any television series.

But enough of my ruminations. What glee kids do you want to see more of, and who do you want to push in front of a bus? Which real or potential showmances have you Googling for Glee slash? And, seriously, what are you all doing Wednesday nights to fill the void? If you're not yet tired of teen vampire melodrama, it may be a good opportunity to check out Vampire Diaries on CW. Or perhaps Cougar Town on ABC is more your speed. If those don't hit the spot, I suggest you rent The 40-Year Old VirginBest in Show or A Mighty Wind for a fix of Jane Lynch, or catch the next episode of Heroes for a dose of Jayma Mays (Emma), who will be guest-starring.

As for me, I'll probably spend next week rewatching episode 7: "Throwdown" for the fifth time. Look, I admit I'm powerless against my addiction and that my life has become unmanageable, and that's the first step to recovery, right?

Anyhoodle, Glee Addicts Anonymous Group Therapy is now in session! Spill your guts, gleeks.

I'm listening and rewatching previous glee episodes (truly a GLeek) :) I agree on the Whemma thing, but got I hate his wife and he's a moron. I'd like to see more with the principal...think he could be an interesting character...and they need to get out of the engagement between emma and ken...just silly.

Shannon

WHAT?! No 'Glee' next week, either?! Stupid baseball.

I'm a little over the baby drama... I think it's time for Will and Finn to learn the truth about their respective babies.

Fabs

Yes, my whole family looks forward to Wed. night, and my kids were BUMMED when they found out there were going to be two weeks of no Glee. I am annoyed with the baby stuff and think they definitely need to do something to fix that!

tonya

What episode was the one when they did "Single Ladies"? I was between DVRs at the time so it ended up on the old (no longer have) DVR. I NEEDS to watch this again!

Ed

Last night I carved a pumpkin. Not the triangles-for-eyes kind. This one took me two hours and got the hoped-for SQUEE from my four-year-old. Don't know what I'll do next week.

Snoobs

Is it just me or does Noah "Puck" Puckerman (aka Mark Salling) look A LOT like Robbie Williams? I'm serious... it's kinda dopelganger freaky. Snarky Amber, I think you need to look into this.
