Kanye West Is Not Invited to Clooney's Hope for Haiti Telethon Tonight. Color Me Not Surprised.

Kanye_westFollowing his outburst during the Hurricane Katrina telethon and his ridiculous behaviour when he interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech, Kanye West is finding himself left out in the cold when it comes to being invited to live events. The latest public diss comes from George Clooney's Haitian relief effort Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief telethon that airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

His reputation as a selfish, overgrown child with little impulse control precedes him.

First, he went off script during a telethon to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina to say "George Bush doesn't care about black people":

And then, he threw himself up on stage at MTV's VMAs during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech to let everyone know that he didn't think she should have won the award:

Kuh-lass-ee.

A source reportedly told AOL's Popeater:

After what he said on the [Hurricane] Katrina telethon and the way he behaved at the MTV Video Music Awards, everyone agrees it's just best that he does not participate. Kanye has to make everything about himself. He will do anything to steal the spotlight, and, well, this night it's just not about him.

It's no wonder that Hope for Haiti decided that it had better people to invite than Kanye, although an MTV rep claims "That's absolutely not true. We DID reach out to Kanye." This seems highly doubtful, though, because Kanye West is not one to keep himself out of the spotlight.

Don't worry, though. Nobody can silence Kanye West. He's working on creating a new weblog for himself, and, frankly, I can't wait to see it, because, sometimes, he's golden.

. . . . .
Schmutzie really does have a case of the warm fuzzies for Kanye. Its just hard to tell sometimes.

In this case, I think they totally made the right call. keep the spotlight on Haiti, where it belongs.

He was right about George Bush, though.

Watching him is kind of like watching a train wreck isn't it.

How did Mike Myers keep a straight face? I can only imagine what he said to Kanye after the camera cut away.

G.G.R

I love watching the moment after Kanye says "George Bush doesn't care about black people" and Mike does that turn and you can hear him gasp inwardly.

Kanye West doesn't care about anyone-but-himself people!
