Jillian Michaels Sued, Twice

Jillian-michaels-666x1000-72kb-media-3057-media-124411-1193548806 Jillian Michaels is being sued by two different women over the same issue.  They both claim her weight loss product did squat for them.  The lawsuits say the Jillian Michaels Maximum Strength Calorie Control dietary supplement is "worthless." One of the lawyers said, "telling people you take two magic pills and then eat chocolate cake all day is a deception." Well, duh, the mamapop losers could have told you that.

Even though the lawsuits were filed by two different people and by two different law firms, they are basically a carbon copy of each other.

The suits allege, "sadly, Michaels has decided to exploit her fame and goodwill by collaborating with Thin Care and Basic Research to promote a weight loss supplement that purportedly will cause weight loss by itself, without any additional effort on the part of the consumer."  The suits ask for an injunction prohibiting the sale of the product, plus damages.

Jillian Michaels has released the following statement: "unfortunately, anyone can file a lawsuit in California. All it takes is a $355 filing fee. That research was reviewed by some of the leading weight-loss experts in the world before Jillian would put her name on the product.   The lawsuit will be handled in the courts like all other lawsuits, and we are confident we will prevail."

Common sense has left the building.

Kate

You know I always wanted to know why she put her name on some of that crap. I love ya Jillian but shouldn't you be putting your name on the products you give people in the show, like organic vegetables? :P
