'Buffy' Star Nicholas Brendon to Cops: Don't Tase Me, Bro!

You guys, this news/gossip item makes me very sad, because I have always had and continue to have a giant crush on the character Xander Harris from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. However, Nick Brendon these days? Not doing so well:
Responding to a call about a "drunk man" causing a commotion in Venice, CA, police found a wasted Nicholas Brendon who took a couple swings at the cops and then attempted to flee. He was tased twice, subdued and taken to the hospital. He's been charged with felony vandalism for allegedly damaging some property, but it doesn't sound like there were charges for assaulting or attempting to assault an officer.
This makes me so sad. Remember this guy?

I watched a Made for TV movie with him in it over the holidays, Golden Christmas, I think. It was not really good. I was hoping that he would do well, but it just did not really work for me. I know he can't just be Xander for the rest of his life, but the combination of his comic timing and Joss's dialog just made for an unforgettable character on Buffy. I am sure this also makes it hard for him to make other parts his own. Damn, that is a shame.

Poor guy. I don't want Brendon to end up as yet another pile of celebrity wreckage. But he was already aging strangely by season five of Buffy.

What happened to his face? It's like all of his features are migrating to the middle.
I feel bad for the guy, but I agree with Kelly; he's probably always going to be Xander.

Eek. I was just reminded of Glenn Quinn from Angel. Lets hope Nicholas doesn't go down that path.

Isn't he still on CRIMINAL MINDS? Sad to see someone else falling into the hole that Hollyhell seems to pull all the young ones into. Next up: Seth Green.....
*omg, @BalitmoreGal - Glenn Quinn. Look at the tears you just caused. I cried for ever when he passed away, it was SOOO sad! Hell, I quit watching Angel when they killed his character off! ok, in truth I was already in tears over the Corey Haim thing this morning, but man - Hollyhell is ripping my heart out!
