True Blood "In Production" Sneak Peeks and Minisodes

True-blood logo There are exactly 55 days until season 3 of True Blood begins. I'm not, like, counting or anything. It was just some little tidbit that I heard. Somewhere. Ahem.

The promos that HBO has released for the new season speak the truth: Waiting Sucks. They know that True Blood fans (apparently we're called Truebies in some circles) are aching for the premiere. To avoid riots outside of the HBO offices, they've tossed us a few bones.

HBO.com has some sneak peeks of the new season in the form of brief "in production" videos featuring Bill, Jason, and Tara. I think they're releasing a new one of these every week, but here's what we can see so far.

Season 3 In Production: Tara

Season 3 In Production: Bill

Season 3 In Production: Jason

Ooh, vague, but exciting. Also exciting is the news that, when HBO re-runs season 2 beginning May 2, each episode will be followed by exclusive "minisodes." These minisodes will bridge season 2 and season 3 and will stand alone. In other words, the stuff that happens in these won't be in season 3. I can't determine if they will factor into the new season or not, but I know that I'm not missing them.

Fan site trueblood.net reports that a promo for the minisodes aired last night:

In one scene we see Sookie carrying a box that looks like the box that held the lilac dress she wears in episode 12 and Tara asking her where does Bill get all his money. Then we see a scene of Bill answering the door of his home (wearing no shirt and the same brocade robe from his flashback scenes with Lorena) to a well-dress older woman. In another scene we see Eric and Pam sitting at Fangtasia and, possibly Yvetta, walking up to them and Pam taking a shine to her.

Ooh, can't wait to see what bitchy antics Eric and Pam get into and what irritating arguments Beel and Sookeh have!

55 days.

Woo-hoo. One case that the t.v. show is WAY better than the books.

Jenny

I love the show but the books are my favorite. The next book is released in May and I am counting down the days. I even pre-ordered it on Amazon. That will be a long, lovely night when it arrives.

I can't wait!

Darcey

I think I might finally have to cave and get paid cable so I can stop running to the bf's house to watch it. And maybe a DVR.
