New "Eclipse" Trailer, Like OMG and Stuff

Eclipse Okay. It's only 10 seconds long. But it's got like, 10 hours worth of brooding. Emoting. Yearning. Oh, and Shirtless Jacob.

Toy Story 3 Trailer: Get Out The Tissues

Base_media I have to admit it, I'm a sucker for a good Disney/Pixar movie, and I especially love the Toy Story franchise.  And the new Toy Story 3 trailer, well, it looks fantastic.  Watch it for yourself after the jump.....

From Paris with Love Shaping Up to Be My New Favorite Movie

John_travolta_from_paris_with_love Early last year, images of a bald and goateed John Travolta dressed in some kind of militant hipster outfit began circulating the internet. It seemed safe to assume that the get-up was for a movie, but I couldn't be sure. Perhaps the whole Scientology thing was moving into some next level business. Who knows?

Golden Globes: I Just Can't Hate Tina Fey's Dress

Tina-fey-dress-golden-globes-2010-zac-posen Tina Fey's getting a lot of heat for the Zac Posen dress she wore to last night's Golden Globes and at first I hated it, too. I didn't start yelling at the TV like I usually do, though, because my 13-year-old is a huge Tina Fey fan and I was afraid she'd start crying or not clean her room or make me take her to Hot Topic.

But then the more I stared at the dress the more I started to like it but I couldn't figure out why.

Then it hit me.

'Herb & Dorothy' Gives Me a Glimpse of a Glorious Future

Herb-and-dorothy-vogel-megumi-sasaki When I think of an ideal future for my husband and I it is this: That we'll remain in love, be interested as well as interesting, still hold hands when we take a walk and continue to create and appreciate art. In other words, I'd like to be Herb and Dorothy Vogel, a postal worker and a librarian living in a tiny, one-bedroom apartment in Manhattan who have managed to amass one of the most important contemporary art collections in history. The documentary of their life, Megumi Sasaki's Herb & Dorothy, was just released on DVD and it will be only the second DVD I've purchased for myself in five years.

Warning: Incredibly un-cynical, heart warming, inspiring love story up ahead.

More Apocalypse Than You Can Shake A Slow-Motion Stick At

Apocalypse_vasnetsov  So apparently early January is like Mardi Gras for Apocalyptic Fiction except instead of giving drunk coed beads so they'll show their boobs, there are just a couple movies coming out. Okay, so not so much Mardi Gras but definitely something festive like Arbor Day or Talk Like A Pirate Day or whatever. The two films are Daybreakers and The Book of Eli, and one has vampires and the other has Gary Oldman so it's pretty much a coin toss about which one is creepier. (zing!)

Review: The Official Sex and The City 2 Trailer

Sex-And-The-City-2-First-Poster-Rev  When I heard they were actually making a sequel to the Sex and the City movie, I kinda had a stroke over it. What could they possibly still have to say about these women?

Iron Man 2 Trailer: F*#) Yeah!

Iron_man_2 I'm not really feeling the holiday offering of Robert Downey, Jr. in the form of Sherlock Holmes. I think I'll save my fangirl squees for next year's Iron Man 2. (squee!). Especially now that I have a trailer to ogle.

I'll Have a Large Popcorn, a Coke, Some Reese's Pieces, and Some Post-Apocalyptic Paranoia

2012_movie_poster1 I'm going to tell you a secret and then immediately after this post is published you'll probably never hear from me again because I'll be whisked away to a secret location and killed or be forced to undergo extensive plastic surgery and a total identity change. Kurt and I are the same person, much in the same way Janet and LaToya and Michael Jackson were the same person, just with different hats. Kurt and I go to see the same movies because we are one and the same. Then we have differing opinions on said movies just to mess with you.

I'm pretty sure this is true. Or maybe the trailers that I saw before The Men Who Stare at Goats got to me.

Paranormal Activity Trailer

Paranormal

I've heard whispers about this movie for a while. Called the next Blair Witch Project and already rife with lore such as how it scared the crap out of Steven Spielberg to such a degree that he was convinced there was something actually demonic about his DVD screener, the thing looks it might be the genuine, terrifying article.

Trailer after the jump. You might wanna brace yourself a little.
