Out of this World, an old favorite television show of mine, was a sitcom that told the story of a thirteen year old girl whose father was an alien and whose mother an Earthling. Her father's alien DNA gives the girl, Evie, special powers to stop time when she touches two fingers together. Hijinks ensued!

Punky Brewster was one of my favorite shows on the teevee when I was but a wee gal. I liked Punky's spunk, but she wasn't my favorite (officially, that was Brandon). I preferred Punky's BFF Cherie Johnson, who, in my opinion, stole the show. She was cute, sassy and smart, and she was the reason I wore headbands around my forehead. I got pushed on the playground for that.
We always hear about Punky. Punky this, Punky that. I don't want to hear about Punky. What happened to Cherie?

Never mind. Proving that it is solidly on the social media tip, MTV is holding a competition to choose a Twitter Jockey - a TJ, if you will.
Admit it: you watched Kids Incorporated. And you sang and danced with them, emulated their hairstyles and perfect smiles and dance moves.
What ever happened to these post-Dickensian band of street urchins, what with their dirty faces and buckled shoes?
I read your comments and the overwhelming nomination from last week for my Where Are They Now series was Atreyu from the Neverending Story. That's Die unendliche Geschichte for our German readers. I live to give, folks. I live to give. Except there are limits, and that's all the German I know. Except schweinerhünd. But that's another story.
